AAI presents the 2010 Owasco Flyer Bicycle Race

2010

• To encourage early registration, race fee is $25 up until May 15. Between May 16 - June 24 at 8pm fee increases to $35. On race day, the fee increases to $40. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!!!!
• does not require a USAC race license.
• $1,100 prize money split among elite racers and age group cyclists.
• first 250 registered receive a T-shirt & a water bottle.
• refreshments for all riders after the race.
• chip timing for more accurate & faster results.
• $2 parking fee at Emerson Park. Free parking at nearby Auburn High School.
• shower facilities available at park.
• aero bars & rear disc wheels not allowed.
• there will be a separate tandem category.
• tandem riders can register as one rider (1 fee gets only 1 race packet - 1 T-shirt & 1 water bottle) or two riders (2 fees get 2 T-shirts & 2 water bottles).
• all racers need to sign-in between 8:30 - 9:30 am on the day of race at the “Seawall Shelter” to pick up race number and timing chip.
• mass start for all racers at 10 am.

The annual 36 mile “citizens” cycling road race around beautiful Owasco Lake is a popular race, not only for serious, elite cyclists, but also for casual non-competitive riders. Our goal is to promote cycling in a healthy manner and have fun doing it. The race proceeds benefit the local YMCA summer camp, which gives local disadvantaged kids a summer camp experience on Owasco Lake.
